How It Works

How it works

Four steps. Live in two to four weeks.

1. Free review — two minutes, today

Put your website in and we’ll score it: speed, mobile, Google profile, reviews, and what your competitors in your area are doing.

You get a plain-English report by email. No call unless you ask for one, and we’ll tell you if you don’t need us.

What we need from you: your website address. That’s it.

2. Build — weeks one to three

We build for your trade, not from a generic template. A builder gets project galleries and cost guides. A plumber gets a split between emergency and planned work. A gas engineer gets a landlord section and a customer capture system.

We’ll ask you for photos of finished work — that’s the one thing we can’t do without, and it’s the single biggest factor in whether the site converts.

What we need from you: about an hour, and photos of your jobs.

3. Get seen — months one to four

Google profile sorted and managed. Reviews start coming in automatically after every job. Content and local pages published. Rankings tracked.

This is the slow part and we won’t pretend otherwise. Local search moves in months, not weeks. Paid ads are how you fill the gap if you need work sooner.

What we need from you: nothing. It runs.

4. Get booked — ongoing

Enquiries land in Gaffer. Quotes go out from templates. Follow-ups run themselves. Reminders bring last year’s customers back.

Monthly report tells you what happened and what it produced.

What we need from you: answer the phone.

What we need from you, honestly

Most of this runs without you. But three things need you and nobody else can do them:

Photos of your finished work. The biggest single factor in whether a trade website converts. Phone photos are fine — we’d just rather have twelve good ones than four bad ones.

Answering the phone. We can generate enquiries. We cannot answer them, and an unanswered enquiry costs you the job and often a review too.

Telling us when you’re full. If you’re booked six months out, we should be raising your prices rather than your enquiry count. That’s a different strategy and it’s a better one.
